This class will follow the same format as the class presented last year. According to
Glendale Police Chief Dave Warman, the class was extremely well received last year and
was attended by a wide range of persons interested in learning about the basics of firearm
safety within the home, which is the main focus of the class. Chief Warman stated, "The
class is open to the public and is free of charge. Based on the response to the class held last
July, I would recommend registering early, because there are a limited number of openings
available." Chief Warman stated further, "While this is not a certification course, we will
provide information on how to obtain a concealed carry permit in Ohio. Participants will also
have the chance to use a firearms training simulator, which is an exciting way for someone
to experience the stress and responsibility of deciding whether or not to use a gun." – Kelly
